Thursday 3rd July
This is a night when the whole church comes together to pray because through prayer we see God's power released. No small groups this week.

Gareth McCormick Visit
Gareth, a former elder will be with us from 4th July to 13th July. Here is what is happening:
Sat 5th July
Central Asia Day 10-4
An evening with Gareth - Gareth will be at the Charis Centre and would love to have people pop in on him between 7-9pm
Sun 6th July
Morning meetings - Gareth gives an update to the church
Afternoon - Gareth meets with team planning the next trip
Monday-Friday
Gareth with the staff team at the Brighton Conference
Sun 13th July
Morning meetings - Gareth preaches
Afternoon - Gareth leaves to speak at ChristChurch London then off to Heathrow and out of the country

Get equipped to heal
Sunday 6th July
On Sunday 6th July at 7:30pm Phil Dowling, who leads a Newfrontiers church in Northamptonshire, will be with us to share what God has been doing through him and in his church in terms of healings and signs & wonders.
He will be praying for us to receive an impartation of God's power for healing.

End of Term Fun for Pre-School
Want to know what's on for the little ones? Want to be a part of it? Read on to find out when, how and where.
The Treasure Chest Summer Party will be held on Sunday 20th July at 16 Wrenbrook Rd from 3.30-5.30pm. All Pre-school children at the Charis are warmly invited to join us for BBQ, bouncy castle, face painting and more.
Me'n Dad are hosting a trip to Hatfield Forest on Saturday 26th July to complete The Big Toddle, a sponsored event to raise money for Barnados. See Anj Lee for more details. Medals and certificates for all toddlers completing the toddle.
Want to get involved? We have an open meeting at Malini's on Wednesday 16th July 8pm for anyone who would like to know more about the work for our pre-schoolers. Come and join us to find out more and see what plans there are for the future of our pre-schoolers. We are excited at what God has for our young children and families.

Newday
Saturday 2 - Thursday 7 August (returning on Friday 8 August)
What is Newday? Newday is a major youth event that takes place in the heart of the nation, with thousands of young people.
Who is it for? Newday is primarily aimed at young people between the ages of 12 & 19 but many people from different age groups come to serve and help out in practical ways. We have a children’s work to support families who come to serve so the event is kind of for everyone, but primarily it’s for the teenagers.

Together @ Shuttleworth 2008
August Bank Holiday Weekend, Friday 22 - Monday 25 August
Newfrontiers churches in the counties of Herts, Essex, Cambs, Northants, Oxon, Bucks & Beds will be gathering for a Regional Weekend at Shuttleworth College, a beautiful site off the A1 near Biggleswade. Click here to go to the Shuttleworth page for more info.

Wordplus
September
The next Wordplus course will be starting in September, this time it is based in Upminster. If you are interested in this course which gives an excellent ground in biblical theology then pick a leaflet from the Welcome Corner.

Shine
14-28 September
Shine is the name of the Churches Together community festival taking place in September this year. The events of the fortnight will revolve around two community activities in addition to which each Church will take responsibility for an event of its own. The community activities will focus on the two weekends: Make Stortford Shine a Saturday to clean up and spruce up our town and Get to Know Your Neighbours a weekend to meet up with the neighbours, organise street parties, barbecues etc
