The Community Church is led by a team of elders.
Peter Vincent leads the eldership team.

Peter & Angela Vincent
Peter learnt to play football as soon as he could walk and has enjoyed sport ever since, especially golf. He became a Christian when he was 11 years old, studied economics at Durham University where he met and subsequently married his wife Angela and they now have two daughters. Peter and Angela moved to Bishop's Stortford in 1984 and joined the
Community Church. Having worked for 2 multinational companies for 8 years, Peter became a full-time church leader in 1987, undertaking part-time training at Spurgeons College in London. He took on the senior leadership of the Community Church in 1991 and now also has responsibility for overseeing a number of other churches in the region on behalf of the Newfrontiers family of churches.  He and Angela are enjoying being able to spend more time working together in serving the churches. In their spare time they like to go out in their old VW camper, watch rugby and enjoy watching Silent Witness (though Peter looks away in the gory bits!).

Colin & Jenny Butler
Colin joined our eldership team in December 2005. He is married to Jenny and has one daughter. Colin has worked for many large organisations, specialising in project and change management processes. Colin now works part-time for the Community Church where he oversees our Welcoming teams, Marriage Course and Pastoral Care.

Stuart & Melanie Crane
Stuart and Melanie moved to Bishop's Stortford in September 2006 to be a part of the team at the Community Church. Stuart is on the eldership team and Melanie is the church evangelist. Stuart is a gifted teacher and trainer. He has a passion to see people grow as disciples of Jesus and discover their purpose in Him. Stuart is also responsible for Community
Groups and with Melanie he looks after groups in and around the 20’s. Melanie is a gifted leader and communicator. She is passionate about people discovering Jesus for themselves and following Him. She is involved in training the church to be witnesses of Jesus in their world. Stuart and Melanie have been married since April 2000. They enjoy the outdoors, good food, watching movies and spending time with friends and family.

Philip & Wendy Colthup
Philip and Wendy have been active members of the Community Church since 1984. They have been excited to see us grow from a small group to the church we are today. Philip joined the eldership team in February 2007 and he oversees the finances and corporate prayer life of the church. He works for a pharmaceutical company leading a team of
research scientists. Philip and Wendy are married and have two daughters and a son. In spare time they enjoy gardening and when possible love to get out into the hills to walk.

Iain & Malini Colville
Iain is one of the merry band that embarks on a daily commute to London! He is a barrister, acting mainly for tenants and the homeless. He is married to Malini and they have 2 children. Iain joined the eldership team in February 2007. He oversees the prophetic ministry in the church, and has a passion to see more people hear from God in a life-changing
way through the wider use of the prophetic gift. Malini oversees our children's ministry, Supergang, and also leads Kidzklub, a town-wide after school club. They enjoy travelling, good food and wine, cooking, reading and, of course, being downright outrageous whenever possible!
